We specialize in Pinto Paso Finos, but also have some of the finest blood lines in the Paso Fino world. DY Paso Fino seeks to forge close partnerships with strong Paso Fino breeders and trainers to enhance the Paso Fino breed. The Paso Fino is a naturally-gaited light horse breed, Paso Fino history dates back many centuries to Spain. Paso Finos are prized for their smooth natural gait, and are used in many disciplines, notably trail Paso Finos and endurance riding Paso Finos. All Paso Finos share their heritage with the Peruvian Paso, the American Mustangs, and other descendants of Spanish horses. The Puerto Rican Paso Fino and Columbian Paso Fino strains, as well as Paso Finos from Cuba and other tropical countries, have been interbred frequently to produce today's American Paso Fino show horse.
