Sandra, my wife of almost 27 years, has lost her battle with cancer. Her dream was to have a "Horse Ranch," which came true. Sandra found solace, peace, and joy being around the horses, especially when a new baby was born. On a regular basis, she would take her breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and go to the Ranch just to watch the horses interact.
Since her diagnosis in December of 2008, she was able to saddle up and ride a few times, which was one of her favorite things to do. Nothing else mattered when riding or just visiting with the horses, it was a place of pure peace for both of us!
At DY Paso Fino, we continue to fulfill Sandy's dream, and are still committed to improving the "Pinto Paso Fino". Gratitude and joy fill my heart with the love that we have! Sandra's dream came true and I am sure somewhere, somehow, she is smiling once again.
I learned a GREAT lesson from this experience: Life is short and precious! Follow your "passion" today, because tomorrow may be too late!
